The Heart of Warriorship

The Heart of Warriorship program, the first cycle of Shambhala Training, provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation practice, emphasizing the development of genuine confidence, humor, and personal dignity within the complexity of daily life. These weekend retreats are recommended for new and experienced meditators, as well as for those looking to enrich their existing spiritual tradition. They include meditation training and practice, talks by senior instructors, personal interviews and group discussions.

The Heart of Warriorship program is also part of The Way of Shambhala, which complements the weekend retreats with weeknight classes in between each level.

Each weekend consists of talks and meditation instruction by a senior teacher, the practice of sitting and walking meditation in a group setting, discussion groups, and one-on-one interviews to clarify questions.
