Shambhala Art Open House – Sources of inspiration

Everyone – artists and non-artists – is invited to an evening introduction to the Shambhala Art Teachings.

Shambhala Art Part I: Coming To Your Senses
Saturday, October 30th from 09:00 to 17:00 and Sunday, October 31st from 09:00 to 18:00
To be creative we must first perceive our world as it is. In Part I we explore how we perceive and how our thoughts influence what we perceive. As we learn to be present, here and now, to what we see, hear, touch, smell and taste, we can express ourselves vividly, with precision and joy, and celebrate life.

Shambhala Art Part V: Art in Everyday Life
Saturday, November 27th from 09:00 to 17:00 and Sunday, November 28th from 09:00 to 18:00

The experience of the four fold process of creativity: pacifying, enriching, magnetizing or emphasizing, and destroying. These four actions indicate how to work with difficulties in the creative process and how to transform negativity and obstacles into openness and compassion.

Instructors:

A painter for more than 35 years, Heather Midori Yamada exhibits nationally & internationally. She teaches japanese traditional paper workshops, painting and yoga courses and is a meditation instructor.

Stéphane Bédard is an Ikebana Teacher, Shambhala Training Senior Director and Shambhala Art Senior Instructor.
